Abstract

This paper discusses the benefits of integrating ethical and value education in the curriculum of tertiary education in Nigeria for sustainable development. The paper is a review paper that depend secondary data. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. The paper identified the benefits of integrating ethic and value education in the tertiary education curriculum in Nigeria includes; moral development, personal development, social and emotional skills, character development and ethical leadership. The paper based on the benefits of integrating ethical and value education in the curriculum of tertiary education in Nigeria recommends that the federal government should direct all the agencies (National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and National Universities Commission (NUC) to include  ethical and value education into the GST course and develop academic programme on ethical and value education in the tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
