This study investigated policy frame works for artificial intelligence implementation in Nigerian education system and ethical concerns in the use of AI. The paper looked at the potential of AI to enhance teaching and learning outcomes while addressing the critical challenges within the Nigerian educational sector, such as inadequate infrastructure, limited teacher capacity, and data privacy concerns. The study identifies five key policy frameworks that can facilitate the integration of AI in schools: the development of a National AI Strategy for Education, investment in AI infrastructure, teacher training and capacity-building programmes, ethical and data privacy regulations, and fostering public-private partnerships. The study concludes that with comprehensive policy planning and strategic implementation, AI can play a transformative role in Nigeria’s education system, improving educational quality and ensuring inclusivity for all students. The suggestions highlight the need for collaborative efforts, financial investment, and ethical oversight to ensure sustainable AI integration.
